Floryaė is a small herbal apothecary offering seasonally crafted plant medicine. Our herbal products are lovingly grown from seed and made by hand.
My name is Afke Warmerdam and I am the founder of Floryaė.
I’m a gardener, plant medicine maker, student of herbalism (and plants), artist and most possibly half fairy.
I live in a self-built tiny home with my partner Simen, on a small piece of rewilding land in Zeeland, the southern islands of the Netherlands. Here we also tend to our ever growing garden and sharing the land with Falcon, Nettle and wild Geese.
Together we grow all of the medicinal plants for our herbal offerings ourselves, organically. Sometimes we also harvest (sustainably and respectfully) in the local wild places around us. My aim for Floryaė is to be able to tell you exactly from which plants our medicine is made of, where they grow and who made the herbal goods. To me, working and offering products like this represents a way of living that supports a healthier, more sustainable world.
The most important thing to me is to offer products that are 100% natural and organic. Medicine that will support not only your being but also the one beneath your feet. In all aspects of our business we try to be as sustainable as possible. Therefore, on this herbal journey with Floryaė I will be ever learning and also focussing more and more on the native plants of our bioregion. This is also why I only offer my products within Europe and choose to not ship overseas.
We work with the seasons and moon cycles and therefore offer small seasonal batches only. This will ensure that our products are handcrafted with heart and care. We also create, sell, pack and send every order ourselves - and that, like all good things, takes time. We hope you understand.
